Locating Resources

Type your query into the search bar at the top of the library website to look up a curated selection of resources and website information. The “Search Results” page consists of 3 sections.

The first section, “Website Content” lists results such as Databases, Ebooks and Journals. It also includes “Site Content Pages” about policy and tutorials, as well as insights from the library staff.

The next section is a list of the top five “PubMed Search Results.” PubMed is a search engine accessing primarily the MEDLINE database of references and abstracts on life sciences and biomedical topics. To see the complete list of search results in PubMed, use the “More results” link located at the bottom of this section.

The last section displays the top five “CLIO Search Results.” CLIO is the comprehensive Columbia library catalogue. To see the complete list of search results in CLIO, use the “More results” link located at the bottom of this section.

For a list of pre-selected browsing options, try the “Explore Resources” and “Monitor Development & Impact” tabs above the search bar. Each tab will take you to lists of resources that will get you started.

Still need help locating a resource? Use the “Email the Knowledge Center” or “Reserve Time with an Informationist” links located at the bottom of the page to receive hands-on support from the staff at the Health Sciences Library.
